Sailing vessel Astra with her crew of 20 is about to close the final leg, riding the last crest on her Virtual Journey started some five months ago crossing North Pacific waters landing West Coast in the next few days. She looks like something from a fairy tale with snow falling thickly around hers mast and her lights nothing but illuminate a cloud of big, soft snowflakes that seems to fill the universe in this blizzard.
It has been exciting voyage, performance of our portfolio not as much, we'll take a short break until the next round of SLO. Believe the next round is going to taste differently, economy too. Should do we expect a tougher times ahead due weak housing market, a slowdown in consumer spending, and tight credit markets which are likely to result in slower economic growth in 2008?Or, will election news most likely move markets in 2008?What's about tax implications?Could high-yield bonds be a good investment in 2008, as investors shake off their aversion to risk? I expect international stocks to post positive returns in 2008, but a more difficult economic environment is likely to subdue performance and increase volatility. Most probably building a well-balanced portfolio that affords diversification among major industry groups is a key?

Congratulations to the winner of this edition of SLO!
Wish your holiday season is full of magic, laughter and fun!

Enjoy this awesome video of Chris Botti ,
