Biography

I run my own software / project management consulting firm, and always stayed in the safe zone through investing in mutual funds. However, after playing quite a few stock picking games over the years and increasing my awareness of how the markets operate, I decided to start taking matters into my own hands.

As a self incorporated entity, I was responsible for creating my own pension plan and being responsible for my returns.

I began to develop my strategies for playing the market through reading, analyzing quite a few good stock blogs, and playing the stock picking contests. However, the contests always require a different mentality than I would use for my own investments, as I take a longer term view than the contests allow.

What the contests did allow was for me to test certain strategies over a certain time period, and analyze the results before determining my own strategies. The stocks that I will be picking for this contest, and the moves that I make will closely mirror how I will be investing my own portfolio, so you can look to performance to be my guide.

Strategy

Watch the fundamentals, take advantage of buying opportunities, and watch the MACD. As so many others have said, let the trend be your friend!
