DBD - (Diebold) is a security systems corporation which was
incorporated under the laws of the State of Ohio in August 1876

Diebold's business is the sale, manufacture, installation and service
of electronic and physical security products
(including vaults and currency processing systems),
self-service transaction systems (such as ATMs),
and software and integrated systems for global financial and commercial markets.

I personally consider Diebold to be well established
(over 100 years of building a rock solid reputation)

and well trusted in crucial areas such as financial transactions

safes and financial transaction processing products
would seem to be a quite mature product market

what interests me about Diebold currently
is that they are now also developing voting machines

after the "hanging chad" news headlines
of the U.S. Presidential Elections a few years ago,
I believe that a lot of money is now being budgeted
to convert voting systems to such new electronic machines

election results would seem to me to be
every bit as crucial, if not more so,
then financial transaction processing;
and Diebold would seem to have solid credentials
for doing business in such critical areas

the conversion to electronic voting machines
would seem to me to be a current hot growth area

and I'm chosing Diebold as my investment in that new market
