I've increased my investment in SRSL (SRS Labs Inc)

as an update to my previous (September 2007) posting on SRS Labs Inc

Reuters reported on November 6, 2007 that
SRS Labs Inc (SRSL) reported earning in line with estimates,
earnings up to .10/share compared to .08/share a year ago

finance.Yahoo.com reports a:
Trailing P/E (ttm, intraday): 14.61
Forward P/E (fye 31-Dec-08) 1: 10.46

SRS Labs has announced that they will commence a stock buyback,
in which SRS may acquire up to $10 million of its outstanding common stock,
commencing November 12, 2007 and continue for a six month period.

that would seem to be about 10% of their shares outstanding

... I don't know anything about SRSL, but I do follow stock BuyBack announcdements - therel are 3 kinds of Buying Back - 1) for Cancellation, in which the stock obtained is "destroyed"
from the Float & Corporate Treasury, 2) for Treasury Holding aka "Held for Sale", which is a Corporate way of Investing in Themselves, and 3) buying for Extinguishment, whic means that it extinguishes the dilutive effect of insiders dumping their Stock Options, SAR's, so-called 'letter stock', etc. Number 3 is #10 - it involves "Cashing Out" Staff & Management using the Market as a "Pretext-ural" intermediary. I checked Insider selling - All "sold", no "buy" & thsre is a list of Form 144 (pre-planned) sales, etc.
... The SRSL Chart is a Sick one - it's been diving into the Slit Trenches and at $5.86 it IS @ a 52-week low. With a Mkt Cap of $95 Million, your in a thinly traded Dark Financial Matter region of the Twi-Light Zone of Lack of participation, few voices, and easy "manipulation" and lack of Information dispersion or Flow.
...I would have to get out my Green-eye-shades to pore over Filings & Financial Reports to make a decision. It's easier Pickin's elsewhwere. Check it Out - thoroughly, Don't enable Insiders by helping tham Bail Out -gettin' out while the gettin' is good, so to speak. I'll Pass - on this one.
Good Luck - . I 'make' my own Luck out of "Primo" stuff. As for SRSL - I just can't see it. D L Ferk (aka VikingWarrior)
