Biography

Back in the mid-90's the expensive "financial planning" American Express was supposedly doing for my husband and me made me see red, and I began researching how to invest myself. The tech crash was an expensive additional lesson, but for the last 4 years I've been successfully using an asset allocation diversification system I developed to manage the investments of my mother, my aunt and my family. Since October, 2003, my portfolio has grown 72.83% (19.82% annualized) with 30% invested in "safe stuff". Now I'm teaching my 15 year old "Little Sister" Bianca how to research stocks and run a model portfolio. The portfolio we worked on together started at the same time as the last Strategy Lab competition, and, by the time the Lab session closed, our portfolio beat all but one of the professionals'-- Ken Kam's. Bianca and I will be collaborating on my portfolio in the Strategy Lab Open, including the explanations of her picks. You'll really enjoy her insights!
