In the past, I always contribute the maximum allowed amount to my 401K account. I am so happy with the fees all the funds charge. But the tax benefit out-weigh it. The other day, I heard a horrible rumor that some kind of proposal floating around that suggests the government confiscate all individual's 401K accounts to put under social security's control. My guess is that this will never happen. But this still make me re-consider my whole view of the retirement accounts. I guess I'd better only contribute the bare minimum to just get my employer's matching amount.
