Only up 2% in the last 4 months. Better off in cash. Market volatility due to Fed wagging the dog. Inflation not good for stocks or other paper-based assets. Stagflation a possibility depending on how long this drags on. Situation does remind me alot of the '70's. Hated the '70's. VL method OK, but high-maintenance. Too many trades due to "dynamics of the ranking system". Got whipsawed out of some good stocks like T and HON. If I play next time around, I'll stick to a value approach, but rely more on my own analysis and gut instead of VL's or S&P's. LC value stocks did best for me: KO, BHP, MS, MRK. Probably will continue to do well given same old story on the economy and Fed. Election will become more of a factor too. Don't like that. Dems will really throw a monkey wrench into things. Higher taxes, more regulation and bigger domestic spending at the expense of defense. Real bright while were in the middle of a war. All in all, enjoyed the contest. Learned some things.
