Let's look at the chart's-Interactive performance comparison chart,Both stock have been tracking together since mid Dec 2006. From the chart point of view 50 /50 neutral rating. It seem this is a purely "buy on the rumor sell on the new's " play .Speculative play. The human factor,It seem that the deal is being held up more by the DOJ than the FCC and could be killed or delayed by REP.Green and the broadcast radio lobby.if and when approved both companies may have to give concession's The delay or denial of this merger is more political the regulatory, Also external product factor's from Ipod to 10 disk cd changers This merger is for the more aggressive investor .This could be a Led Zepplin

John,
LED Zepplins NEVER, EVER actually FLEW, but they did Rock 'N Roll.
A better anaology would be the Hindenburg ( whose tail did read LZ }. IT went DOWN in FLAMES.
A Crash 'n Burn !!!
The radio announcer who witnessed this event said, " The Humanity. The Humanity !!!"
Notwithstanding my " revise & extend ' comments above,
you are Spot ON.
The reason for the rapid spread of the FIRE was found to be that the Skin of the Zepplin
was coated with a flammable "Doping" compound to make it more impermeable to Hydrogen loss.
Straight Dope - Any Dope that plays with these "High-Flyers" is going to get BURNED.
It will be a HOT LZ ( Landing Zone ), too.
RED Smoke; Red INK.

PS :
LZ 129 Hindenburg was a German zeppelin. Along with its sister-ship LZ 130 Graf Zeppelin II, it was the largest rigid aircraft ever built. During its second year of service, it went up in flames and was destroyed while landing at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Manchester Township, New Jersey, U.S., on 6 May 1937. Thirty-six people died in the accident, which was widely reported by film, photography and radio media.
The Hindenburg was named after Paul von Hindenburg (1847-1934), the President of Germany (1925-1934).
