For those that don't know, today, one of the premier events is happening on Wall Street, or should I say Main Street. Today is the day the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Report given by none other than the "Oracle of Omaha", Warren Buffett. Even if you don't hold Berkshire class A or B shares, his reports are legendary. I hope someday to go back and read every one. Someday I even hope of have enough in my portfolio to be able to hold some Berkshire without decimating the rest of my funds. I'd have a tough choice to make if given the opportunity to go to the Cub's Fantasy Baseball camp run by Randy Hundley (and many of the '69 team) or to be able to go to the annual meeting in Omaha. I have heard this is almost a popular to the shareholders, analysts and stock market aficionados as Woodstock was back in the day. (OK, small exaggeration there.) Oh how I dream of the day of meeting Warren and getting invited to go to his favorite low key restaurant and order a hamburger and Cherry Coke. (I don't even like Cherry Coke. /grin)
Also, for the boob-tube crowd and the Tivo'ists, Warren will be appearing live on CNBC on Monday 3/3 from 6 to 9 am ET. I'm definitely taping it as I can't imagine a better commentator on the news for the day and the market in general.
Here's to the greatest investor of the modern era.
