John Freeman

Biography

Welcome to Uncle John's Cabin!

Pull up a chair or pick a spot on the couch while Uncle John sits on his porch alternating between pouring over stock tickers and playing his trumpet.

He used to be a Windows software developer, network administrator, project lead, IT engineer and various other technical jobs over the course of 15+ years and now works for himself. He still loves to build computers and tinker with electronics.

Uncle John actively manages two IRA portfolios (his and his wife's) and has traded options on occasion as well. His best call as an investor was buying puts on the high flying dot com stocks like Yahoo (back at $400ish range) right before the tech crash of 1999-2000.

Strategy

Short term trading for this lab looking for moves off of catalysts in domestic and global stocks. Generally tries to stick to companies Uncle John understands.
